Life after flood...

So yesterday we completed many small projects. Some necessary: like a new mailbox and house numbers. And some not so necessary. But one little project was very special. I'm sure it only took a couple of minutes to install but we have an original Quonset by the Creek door knob. Ben It is such a gorgeous knob and it means so much to have a piece of Young history in our little house.

Sooo Done!

Finally! Well lets just say the inauguration was not the only big news for C&B yesterday. We can finally say its a done deal and that we are now home owners!!! That's what all the secrecy, has been about. It has been such a long last few months with lots of excitement and stress and even a few hiccups, but it has all worked out. We couldn't be happier. The place is not big at all, but suits us just fine, we like the location, the 1930's details, and its charm, but we especially like the things that are wrong with it, because it creates all sorts of neat projects for us to work on. Yeah we're weird, we know. We spent the first night there last night, it was very quiet and peaceful, I think its going to be a really nice place to live. It still hasn't really set in yet though. I just can't believe its done. Well, at least done with this stage, now is time for some projects...

..Like pulling some weeds for instance.

Soooo Slow

I can't belive the way this is dragging on. Is it ever going to end?!!! We're doing good though. This first week of school went well. Its going to be a very healthily full and busy next four months, but will be fun. C. is doing well, still having a great time in her career path and loves her job. Nagi is soooo settled in to the Lodge its like she's been there forever. So eventully we'll have something news worthy to blog about.

Soooo Close

Do you ever have the problem of telling really big potentially news to people, only have it dissolve right in front of your face. That happens to me all the time, especially with jobs,
" Hey, Mom, Hey Dad... I had a really great interview today... Seems really good, looks like I got it" and then the next day, "Na-Da" or whatever the case I've counted my eggs before they've hatched one too many times.
I bring this up because its relevant to our lack in recent blogging. One in our further lack of time and energy and also just not wanting to share certain portions of our lives with the whole world, not that the feelings expressed in the past two posts were not sincere or true, its just there was more going on in our lives than work, school and Holidays keeping us frantically occupied and we haven't wanted to jinx it or even share it openly, but soon we will.
Lets just say I have to agree, it truly has been one of the most stressful things I've experienced and I think I speak for C. as well. But if all goes well, it will be worth it. So those of you who already know what I'm referring to, know. Those of you who don't, can very well guess. Those of you who may be up to no good and I don't want you to know, don't. I just try to be careful what I put on here, you just never know who might be reading it and what motives they may have when your blog is public. So next week is promised to be a pretty big week for C&B (or should I say pretty small, Ha ha) not to mention school starts again so I'm going to be plenty busy.. really busy..yea it's gonna be crazy. At any rate sooner or later we will have to share this news on our blog, just.. just not quite yet. But it's soooo close.
